One of the biggest mistakes we see people make is not enrolling in Medicare when they should. They get their dates mixed up, they aren’t sure what enrollment period is best for them, and so much more. Don’t fall victim to missing these details!
At Zero Bullshit Insurance, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Medicare enrollment. So, let’s get into it so you don’t have to wait any longer.
Automatic Enrollment
If you have already started your Social Security benefits prior to age 65, your enrollment in Medicare should be automatic. If you have not yet started receiving Social Security benefits prior to age 65, you will need to go to the Social Security website or your nearest Social Security office and enroll yourself in Medicare.
If you have to enroll yourself, you will want to do so during your Initial Enrollment Period.
Initial Enrollment Period
Your Initial Enrollment Period will start three months before you turn 65 and last up until three months after you turn 65. If, for any reason, you need any assistance enrolling during this period, we can help. We’ll walk you through the process and take you step-by-step. We’ll take a look at your particular situation and help you determine if you should only enroll in Medicare Part A, or both Part A and B.
